Wee Care

WEE Care is a weekday ministry dedicated to the physical care and education of young children. Programs include day care, preschool, school age, and drop-in services. Over 150 children and 30 staff members are involved with this program for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 9 years old.

First Baptist Church considers it a privilege to play such an important role in the lives of young children and their families. The staff takes very seriously its responsibility to provide a safe environment, where children receive the love and care they need to help develop to their fullest potential.

Day Care                                   

6 weeks through 5 years (through age 9 during summer months) 

6:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Monday through Friday, except following holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Children are grouped in age-related classes.

Preschool                      

2, 3 and 4 year olds (ages as of Sept. 1)

8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

2 Year Preschool:   Tuesday & Thursday mornings;                                            3 & 4 Year Preschool:   Monday through Friday following public school calendar.

WEE LEARN curriculm (published for Southern Baptist weekday programs) is used, and supplemented where necessary to provide a Christian-based readiness program which is designed to develop the whole child physically, socially, academically, and spiritually.

School Age Care            

5 through 9 years

Hourly or Full-day care during Brookhaven Public school holidays & summer.

Same as Day Care (except for center holidays listed above)

Includes snack, and play time.

Drop In Service              

2 years through 4 years

6:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.
